Episode 18 - TOW Dr. Ramoray Dies

Synopsis: In a magazine interview, Joey takes credit for writing his lines on Days of Our Lives and the writers kill off his character as a result. Chandler gets to know Eddie better and discovers he is a bit crazy. Meanwhile Rachel and Monica experience problems when they start talking to Ross and Richard about their previous lovers.
The Good: Both the discussions between the couples and the situation where there is only one condom left are great television. Character development and humour seamlessly spliced together in very entertaining scenes. Eddie’s descent into madness is funny as well, both his skill as an actor and Chandler’s reactions. Joey’s loss is well conveyed too and the writers really go the extra mile to explain why the job meant so much to him.
The Bad: Eddie’s madness seems to come out of nowhere. Chandler’s reaction to it comes across as a little crass rather than a more fearful concern that you might expect.
Best Line: (Ra) “Ohhh, Ross! Ross, please listen to me, Ross. You are so much better for me than Paulo ever was. I mean you care about me, you’re loving, you make me laugh.”
(Ro) “Oh hey if I make you laugh, here’s an idea. Why don’t you invite Paulo over to have a little romp in the sack and I’ll just stand in the corner and tell knock knock jokes.”
