Episode 11 - TOW The Lesbian Wedding

Synopsis: Carol and Susan get married, Phoebe is possessed by a dead massage client and Rachel’s Mum says she is considering divorce.
The Good: Spot on in terms of characterisation. The best moment is probably Rachel’s Mum admitting that she made the mistake which Rachel avoided. Again it’s a real situation and it gives Rachel an encouraging perspective on her life choice. Her mother’s jealousy of her situation is touching and of course distressing for her. Ross is as likeable as ever, putting aside his discomfort to once more be kind to Carol. Chandler really lights up the wedding reception with his comments and Phoebe does a good job throughout keeping things funny.
The Bad: Phoebe being possessed is beyond ridiculous. But it is standard sit com fare and the writing is good enough to compensate.
Best Line: (Mr Adelman) “She also said she wanted to sleep with me one last time.”
(P) “I’m sorry, there’s laughing in my head.”
(Mr A) “Worth a shot, huh?”
