Episode 17 - TOW Free Porn

Synopsis: Chandler and Joey get free porn by accident and refuse to turn it off. Monica convinces Ross to rush to the airport and tell the departing Emily that he loves her. Phoebe discovers that she will be giving birth to triplets and tries to think of ways to help Frank and Alice financially.
The Good: This is a good episode for forwarding the major stories. There is a sense of all the friends hanging out together which is lost in later series. Joey and Chandler make the odd good joke in their harmless porn story. Despite the weaknesses in her story, Phoebe makes the best of every line she is given here.
The Bad: However nothing seems to really hit its target. Monica acts as if she would have pushed Ross to pursue Emily whether she was good for him or not. Their conversations are a bit frantic and they don’t quite convey that Ross really loves Emily. Meanwhile Phoebe’s news sends her off on ways to make money, none of which you take seriously. The odd joke with Rachel is funny but generally you get the feeling that Phoebe is just making noise and in the end will do nothing to really help Frank and Alice. A mixed episode, ok overall but not focussed enough.
Best Line: (M) “You’re gonna call out her name and yell ‘I love you’ and she’s gonna say ‘I love you too.’ Then you guys are gonna have the most amazing kiss. Everyone at the gate will applaud.”
(Ro) “I am a good kisser.”
(M) “Then you two can sneak into the cockpit. Things will start to heat up and then a stewardess comes in! I’ve been watching too much porn.”
