Episode 13 - TOW Rachel's Crush

Synopsis: Rachel becomes a personal shopper at Bloomingdale’s and falls for her handsome new client Joshua. Monica misses being the hostess as the friends gravitate to the bigger apartment which the guys now live in. Chandler suspects that Kathy is sleeping with her co-star in a play and his insecurity pushes her into actually doing it.
The Good: Really nice character episode. Ross, Phoebe and Joey don’t need to be involved in the stories; they perform their roles well by just being around to offer advice. Rachel is excellent here, she is really good at being the girl who has never asked a guy out before and makes a whole show out of saying the name Joshua. The Chandler story is also a good character piece, especially poignant considering she cheated on Joey to be with him. There are also several good visual jokes, enjoyable tension between Ross and Rachel, Joey says “How you doin?” for the first time and Chandler acting drunk is ok.
The Bad: This is not that funny an episode, though that is a harsh criticism. Chandler is quite over the top in his scenes which at times isn’t good.
Best Line: (P) “How was Kathy’s play?”
(Ro) “Well Kathy gets half naked and simulates sex with a real good looking guy.”
(C) “It’s like somebody literally wrote down my worst nightmare. And then charged me $32 to see it!”
