Episode 20 - TOW The Ride Along

Synopsis: The guys go for a ride along with Gary in his police car and Rachel hears a message for Ross from Emily.
The Good: I prefer these episodes where we don’t get three different stories all competing for time, but this is not one of the best of them. As a story it is ok, but it doesn’t play out that well.
The Bad: This is because the writers are too busy scripting the characters to take cheap shots at each other rather than building proper character moments or even really funny scenes. So we have Monica stealing from Ross, Joey trying to take a bullet for his sandwich and Ross camping it up over his near death experience. None of which is enjoyable or plausible. The main point of the story should be Ross reacting to Emily’s message but it is breezed through for the sake of more silliness.
Best Line: (Ro – on answering machine) “Hey Ross, it’s you. I just want you to remember this feeling. You are lucky to be alive. So live every day to the fullest. Love yourself. Ok? Oh and also get stamps. Bye.”
