Episode 23 - TOW The Birth

Synopsis: Carol gives birth to baby Ben as Ross and Susan argue over everything. Monica worries that she won’t ever have a baby; Joey helps another lady give birth while Rachel flirts with Carol’s doctor.
The Good: By having one main plot and letting all the characters react to it the show creates a fluid episode. Chandler spits out one-liners like a vending machine, Joey’s sub pot is good for the odd laugh and Phoebe plays her missing-the-point role perfectly. Both Monica and Ross are excellent in their serious and touching roles as are Carol and Susan. Even Rachel and the doctor create some good jokes. All in all a very well written and acted episode that is both touching and funny.
The Bad: No wet yourself moments.
Best Line:
(Ro) “You know what the funny thing is? When this day is over you get to go home with the baby ok. Where does that leave me?”
(Susan) “You get to be the baby’s father! Everyone knows who you are. Who am I? There’s mothers day, there’s fathers day. There’s no lesbian lovers’ day.”
(Ro) “Everyday is lesbian lover day!”
