Episode 13 - TOW The Boobies

Synopsis: Phoebe’s new boyfriend Roger is a psychiatrist and his insightful analysis of the friends makes them all hate him. Joey’s Dad comes to stay but Joey discovers he has been cheating on his mother for six years. Chandler accidentally sees Rachel’s boobs and she tries to get revenge by seeing him naked.
The Good: There is some awesome acting and writing here. Joey’s Dad is perfect in the role and his affair is a great example of how to write a world which is not black and white. His affair makes those involved happier and Joey’s shock and disapproval make him look like a good son and a very real person. Meanwhile Roger’s analysis of the friends adds layers to their back stories and makes them seem more real. Their dislike of him is spot on as he exposes their flaws. The friends talking about their parents is excellent as well. The shower scenes are a source of good cheap humour and Chandler as ever provides numerous good lines.
The Bad: So no one has locks on their bathroom doors?
Best Line: (Roger) “Listen guys it was great seeing you again. Mon, uh easy on those cookies ok? Remember they’re just food, they’re not love.”
