Episode 13 - TOW Monica Sings

Synopsis: Ross is angry at Rachel for kissing Gavin and so tries to pick up woman to show he has moved on. Phoebe takes Monica to a bar to sing as Mike plays piano there. Joey is advised to have his eyebrows waxed and finds Chandler can help him out. The Good: It’s good that they address the Ross and Rachel situation but not the way they do it. Joey’s eyebrows and Monica’s dress being see-through are both really cheap ideas but at least Joey makes a few good jokes, as does Chandler. The Bad: Cheap and pointless jokes a plenty. Ross hitting on women makes him look really pathetic. He and Rachel manage to have their big conversation without either of them talking about whether they have feelings for one another. An impressive achievement for the gutless writers. Best Line: (Ro) “I don’t believe this. I just keep striking out.”
(C) “I don’t get it either. I mean you’re obviously desperate, you’re asking women how they wanna be killed…”
(Ro) “Well this is great. Rachel’s gonna keep kissing guys until she finds the one she wants and I’m gonna die alone.”
(C) “By drowning or…?” Best Friend: Chandler
