Episode 19 - TOW Rachel's Dream

25 March 2012

Synopsis: Rachel watches Joey doing a love scene as Drake and has a dream about kissing him. Chandler and Ross end up at an inn in Vermont and decide to take stuff from the hotel to make up for being overcharged. Phoebe starts playing guitar outside Monica’s restaurant but she doesn’t want her there.

The Good: Rachel and Joey work well together in their scenes and she is the star here as she believably falls for Drake. Chandler and Ross are also fun in their story, though it is too short to really get you laughing. But even briefly Ross manages to be silly enough to get you smiling.

The Bad: Phoebe and Monica are so rude to each other that it’s not very credible. They insult each others main passions in life and real friends couldn’t recover so quickly from such deeply personal attacks. Their story is very pointless. As is this episode, its only real purpose seems to set up the season finale where Rachel falling for Joey needs to seem plausible.

Best Line: (C) “I also got these great salt and pepper shakers from the restaurant.”
(Ro) “Whoa that’s not cool.”
(C) “Dude none of this is cool.”

Best Friend: Rachel
