Episode 3 - TOW The Pediatrician

25 March 2012

Synopsis: Rachel is worrying about everything Emma does and discovers that Ross still goes to his paediatrician. Chandler leaves for Tulsa but Monica stays behind. Phoebe and Joey agree to set each other up with friends but Joey forgets to.

The Good: Joey forgetting about the date and finding Mike is a good idea. It’s just plausible enough to set up an intriguing double date. Ross once again humiliates himself to keep us laughing. The episode has some good ideas and decent jokes.

The Bad: Why does Phoebe bring a loose woman on the date when Joey said he wanted a serious relationship? The Joey and Phoebe story is a nice idea but it is not funny or that interesting. If Mike were particularly suited to Phoebe in some way then this might be a nice moment, but he isn’t so it isn’t. His piano miming is terrible. Poor Ross is humiliated further, this time hitting on a single mum at the doctors. There doesn’t seem to be much point in Chandler moving to Tulsa, it adds nothing much to the story.

Best Line: (P) “Ooh you know who’s great? Sandy Poopak.”
(J) Laughs “Poopak.”
(P) “Yeah alright, well that rules out Lana Titwiler.”
(J) Laughs harder.

Best Friend: Ross
