Chandler falls for Joey’s new girlfriend, Phoebe tries to catch a cold to keep her sexy singing voice and Rachel and Ross try to make each other jealous.
Ross dates a beautiful woman with a horrendously messy apartment. Phoebe helps Monica on a catering job and they decide to work together. Meanwhile it’s Kathy’s birthday and Joey doesn’t care whereas Chandler buys her an expensive and thoughtful gift.
Joey is so angry at Chandler for kissing Kathy that he plans on leaving, but agrees to stay if Chandler will spend 6 hours in a box. Monica meets Richard’s son and invites him to thanksgiving dinner where Ross accuses Rachel of having no sentiment because she exchanged gifts that he gave her.
The guys plan on partying with their old friend Gandalf. Monica is offered a job as a chef, just as she starts her catering business with Phoebe and Rachel tries to get a promotion.
Ross is dating two women, one who is nice but lives far away and a local one who is less fun. Chandler sets up Rachel with one of his work colleagues but tells him she only wants a fling. Monica hires Joey as a waiter so she can fire him to make her workers fear her and Phoebe tries to write a rhyming Christmas song using the friends’ names.

Chandler is worried that he won’t please Kathy in bed as much as Joey did, so Monica and Rachel give him advice. Frank and Alice eloped and are now trying to have a baby. They ask Phoebe to be the surrogate mother and she seeks advice from her birth mum.
Rachel becomes a personal shopper at Bloomingdale’s and falls for her handsome new client Joshua. Monica misses being the hostess as the friends gravitate to the bigger apartment which the guys now live in. Chandler suspects that Kathy is sleeping with her co-star in a play and his insecurity pushes her into actually doing it.
Joey goes on a fishing trip, comes back stinking and then rushes off to start work on a film with Charlton Heston. Ross takes out Emily so that Rachel can go to Joshua’s new club. Chandler is still depressed about Kathy and so the girls take him to a strip club.
Ross meets some of Emily’s English friends and agrees to play rugby with them. Chandler runs into Janice again but to get rid of her tells her he is moving to Yemen. Monica finds a switch in the guys’ apartment which doesn’t seem to do anything and she goes on a quest to discover what it does.
Phoebe’s baby is craving meat and so she starts eating it despite feeling guilty. Ross prepares a special last night with Emily but Rachel hijacks it in order to lure Joshua to a party.
Chandler and Joey get free porn by accident and refuse to turn it off. Monica convinces Ross to rush to the airport and tell the departing Emily that he loves her. Phoebe discovers that she will be giving birth to triplets and tries to think of ways to help Frank and Alice financially.
Susan goes to London on business and spends time with Emily causing Ross to become paranoid. Rachel prepares to have sex with Joshua but gets interrupted by his parents. Alice asks Phoebe to name the third baby and Chandler and Joey both want her to name the baby after them.
Ross announces his wedding date and Rachel asks Joshua to marry her out of desperation. Monica picks up Emily’s wedding dress and begins to wear it around the house. Joey’s snoring is keeping Chandler up, so he takes him to a sleep clinic.
The gang, except pregnant Phoebe and jealous Rachel head to London for Ross’ wedding. Chandler and Joey see the sights while Monica tells Emily that if everything is not perfect she can postpone the wedding. Then Rachel decides to go to London to tell Ross that she loves him.
