New branch manager Robert California has become new Sabre CEO with Andy as his branch manager. Erin gets left with Robert's note book and sees a list of his employees' names written in two columns. Everyone becomes concerned over what the list means and when Robert takes one group to lunch the other group become paranoid. Pam is pregnant (with a boy) as is Angela.

Robert comes in to the office and tells Andy to double the growth in sales. Andy doesn't know what to do and comes up with a lame incentive system. Jim pushes him to come up with more tempting offers and Andy foolishly offers to have a tattoo put on his butt as a prize. The office rallies together and achieves the points they need in one day.

The entire warehouse crew win the lottery and quit their jobs. Darryl, no longer part of their lottery pool, is thrown into a deep funk. He refuses to hire new people and asks Andy to fire him. Andy keeps pushing him to get back to work and snap out of it. Jim, Dwight, Erin and Kevin take on the warehouse duties and make a horrible mess of them.

Andy throws a garden party to impress his parents and Robert California. Dwight hosts it at his farm and hopes to use this opportunity to expand into the upscale party market. Jim publishes a fake book about garden parties to trick him into silliness.

Andy frets over whether his Halloween party will be cool enough for Robert California. California is more interested in discovering the fears of his employees. Erin is upset to think that Andy isn't happy with her efforts in organising the Halloween party and struggles to make it scarier or sexier. Jim is unhappy to see that Pam still believes in ghosts.

Robert tells Andy to cut out the mistakes the branch keep making. Dwight comes up with a method of holding the whole office to account which everyone sees as a "Doomsday Device." When five errors trigger it Dwight leaves the office condemning them all to potentially be fired. Jim is dispatched to distract Robert while Pam leads a team to the Schrute Farm to talk Dwight down. Meanwhile Gabe and Darryl are both attracted to Val from the Warehouse.

Pam is worried about her own attractiveness now that she is pregnant. Her replacement, Cathy, is young and attractive but Jim says he doesn't think so. Pam becomes irritated by this and asks Dwight to help her prove Jim is lying. Meanwhile Andy, Darryl and Kevin have a jam in the warehouse and are joined by Robert California.

Andy tries to inspire the office into seeing their work like a war by taking them to Gettysburg. About half go with him and find the visit uninspiring and tiring. Gabe is confused for an Abraham Lincoln impersonator. The other half of the office are given a surprise visit by Robert California who is impressed by some of Kevin's ideas.

Robert rushes into the office and tells Andy (in front of Jim) to not hire his wife. He then brings his wife, Susan, into the office and suggests that Andy find a role for her. Andy tries his best not to hire her but under relentless pressure from Robert he finally does. Andy asks the rest of the office to be mean to her which leads her to become suspicious. Meanwhile Dwight opens a gym in the building and pushes Darryl to join.

Andy dresses up as Santa and grants holiday wishes for the rest of the office. He invites his girlfriend Jessica to the Christmas party and Erin is clearly upset about it. She gets drunk and reveals too much of her true feelings to Andy. Robert, also recently heartbroken, tries to comfort her. Darryl invites Val to the party and she misunderstands quite how fancy the occasion will be. Andy tells Jim and Dwight that their pranks are bothering Cathy. He threatens to hand their bonus over to the other if they are caught pranking again.

Dwight wants a new job managing printer sales so he heads to Florida to see Robert California. Andy is desperate to meet Robert's sales quota even if it means raising it outside of the office. When Oscar tells him about a thousand dollar prize at his bar trivia contest Andy drags the whole office there to win the money.

Robert is trying to sell his house. He bought it to be a bachelor pad but ended up sharing it with his wife. Kevin suggests that they use it one last time to have a party. The whole office is invited and brings their swim gear. Andy's mum really likes Jessica and gave him a family ring to propose to her with. He doesn't plan to use it yet and then loses it at the party. Meredith tells Erin that Andy might still care about her. Erin enlists Dwight to make Andy jealous. Jim tries to leave early.

Jim is welcomed back to the office after a week of jury duty. He admits to the camera that he actually took four days off. When Dwight uncovers the truth he tries to get Jim fired and the rest of the office are angry at the deception. Jim brings Pam and his children into the office to elicit sympathy. Meanwhile Angela gives birth prematurely and Oscar leads a small group to the hospital to see her. The child looks very healthy and full grown and Angela is forced to admit that she conceived the baby out of wedlock.

Andy tells an excited Dwight that he is to lead a team down in Florida. Dwight carefully selects his team but Andy wants to change things. Dwight announces the revised team to the office in order to create dissent. It works and everyone is invited to make a pitch for why they deserve to go. Robert California also texts Jim, telling him to come.

Dwight leads his taskforce into their meetings despite suffering from appendicitis. The leader of special projects Nellie Bertrum organises the meetings while Dwight is wheeled off to hospital. Back in Scranton Andy has to cover the receptionist's desk.
