Episode 1 - TOA Joey And Rachel Kiss

Review
Synopsis: Joey and Rachel keep failing to tell Ross about their relationship. Meanwhile Phoebe breaks up with Mike’s girlfriend for him and Monica gets her hair done into cornrows which Chandler doesn’t like. The Good: Poor Ross is forced to try and make this funny by camping it up to good effect. Joey and Rachel have their moments as well. The Bad: The Monica hair storyline is terrible. Not remotely funny or interesting. Phoebe and Mike are about as unlikeable as each other and so the break-up with Mike’s girlfriend is not much fun either. The idea that people can not cheat on one another until they have cleared the air first doesn’t reflect real life very well. So here we have to sit through Joey and Rachel pretending to feel guilty and then failing to tell Ross the truth. It is all pretty tedious. Best Line: (Ro) “Oh no!”
(Ra) “What, what is it?”
(Ro) “Major shampoo explosion!”
(Ra) “Um look Ross this really isn’t easy.”
(Ro) “Oh, it’s over everything! Why? Why me?” Best Friend: Ross
