Episode 8 - TOW Chandler Doesn't Like Dogs

Review
Synopsis: Phoebe is looking after a friend’s dog but Chandler doesn’t like dogs. Rachel invites Tag over for thanksgiving and they end up getting together, meanwhile Ross tries to think of all 50 states as part of a game. The Good: I suppose Ross trying to get the states is a good sit com idea and the “Moo Point” is clever. The Bad: Chandler not liking dogs is a stupid idea, but the way the story plays out makes it even worse. He has no convincing reason for his dislike of dogs, so he looks pathetic and completely unbelievable. The other friends come across as horrible because they treat his feelings with such disdain. On top of that Monica and Phoebe are awful in every way. Rachel’s story with Tag is complete filler. He has his car stolen for no apparent reason and they use the horribly overused idea of having Joey give away that Rachel likes him. An appalling episode with no redeeming features. Best Line: (J) “If he doesn’t like you, this is all a moo point.”
(Ra) “A moo point?”
(J) “Yeah, it’s like a cows opinion, it just doesn’t matter. It’s moo.” Best Friend: Joey
