Episode 20 - TOW Mac and Cheese

Review
Synopsis: Joey is auditioning for a part in a show called Mac and CHEESE. Chandler doesn’t write down a message properly causing friction with Joey but he still gets the part. A clip-show with a more extensive plot than some clip-shows. The Good: Chandler and Joey faking each other out is quite funny. The Bad: Phoebe thinking she is a better actor than Joey is ridiculous. Phoebe has never been portrayed so arrogantly and she shouldn’t be so insensitive to one of her best friends. Ross joining in is even more out of character. There’s also a moment when Phoebe wishes Joey good luck in a stupid way which is one of the series’ most pointless moments. There seems to be no connection between the clips chosen. Even though they flow from the dialogue there doesn’t seem to be any overall theme of any significance. It’s impressive that the writers managed to make a clip-show, by its very nature unimportant, even more pointless and unnecessary than usual. Best Line: (Phone rings) (C – to the birds) “Should I get that?” (Laughs) Best Friend: Joey
