Review
Synopsis: Monica bumps into Richard and they end up spending the week together. Phoebe is dating a jock who keeps popping out of his shorts. Joey and Rachel swap books. The Good: Joey’s stupidity works well here as he gets so wrapped up in the books and then gives away the ending of the Shining. Ross’ reactions to Robert’s exposure are funny. Monica and Richard carry the plot and it is a very touching story. Tom Selleck is excellent as ever and they give the impression of being a real couple. The Bad: Chandler overacts throughout which is beneath him. The Phoebe plot is silly and surely she would have just said something rather than dumping him. A girl with as rough a past as her shouldn’t be fazed by such an insignificant problem. Best Line: (Joey sees Roberts exposure) “Hello! Hi, I’m Joey we haven’t met.”
(Robert) “Hi, good to meet you. Robert.”
(R walks off, guys all laugh)
(P) “What? What? You guys, what is going on? Do you not like Robert? Why are you laughing?”
(Ross) “Calm down there’s no reason to get testy.” (Guys all laugh) Best Friend: Monica
