Review
Synopsis: Rachel’s sister Jill (Reese Witherspoon) comes to stay and follow in Rachel’s footsteps by making it on her own. Then she begins flirting with Ross. Monica is sick and tries to get Chandler to have sex with her. Gunther has to stop Joey giving free food to the female customers at Central Perk. The Good: Reese Witherspoon does a good job fitting in here and plays the role of Rachel’s spoilt sister well. Ross and Rachel are both fun in their reactions to her. Monica has her moments as well; it’s not an easy job to be funny while pretending to be ill. The Bad: This is the first part of a two part story and it feels like it. Joey giving free food to girls plays out as you would expect. Ross agreeing to go out with Jill is a little insensitive but I suppose it has been three years since he dated Rachel. Chandler fending off ill Monica is ok but again, it feels like the show is in first gear with no intention of speeding things up. Best Line: (M – with a cold) “Are you saying that you don’t wanna get with this?”
(C) “Yeah I don’t think you should say that even when you’re healthy.” Best Friend: Monica
