Episode 2 - TOW Ross Hugs Rachel

Review
Synopsis: Phoebe tries to convince Ross to get the annulment by asking women in Central Perk if they would date him now that he has three divorces. Monica and Chandler tell Rachel and Joey respectively that they will be moving in together and they have very different reactions. The Good: Ross and Joey are fine as usual adding the necessary humour. Phoebe is about the only character who could realistically be expected to not tell Rachel the truth. Ross’ divorce lawyer has a nice cameo role. The Bad: The whole Ross plot is awful. Again, why would he think not telling Rachel would create a marriage that worked? It’s not because he loves her because he only realises that when he hugs her. Which is ridiculous as well. People don’t snap in and out of love with each other like that. It’s poorly written crap. Then we have to sit through Monica overacting as they drag out her goodbye with Rachel for the whole episode. A dull, ill-conceived, bad piece of television. Best Line: (J) “This sucks.”
(C) “Look I’m just gonna be right across the hall and I promise you the minute Monica and I break up I’m moving right back in with you!” Best Friend: Phoebe
