Episode 23 - TOW The Ring

Review
Synopsis: Chandler and Phoebe go shopping for wedding rings and Ross and Joey think Chandler is angry with them. Meanwhile Rachel asks Paul to open up to her but regrets opening the floodgates. The Good: Chandler and Phoebe have some nice moments buying the ring. It is a good story to build an episode around because it involves deception and a big decision which would happen in real life and the character play well off that. Particularly Joey who is oblivious to Ross’ feelings and they both make that funny. The Bad: I am not the biggest Bruce Willis fan. But I doubt most people would be happy with his performance here. It is a silly plot but Bruce crying and shouting “chicken boy” does not make for good TV. As usual the writers can’t leave Phoebe with a few subtle one-liners, so every time she has a good line she then ruins it with two more lame ones. Best Line: (P) “Listen I’m sorry about before. Do you have anything here for 10 dollars?”
(Ring store clerk) “Yes I have these two rather beautiful 5 dollar bills.” Best Friend: Phoebe
